Nestled in the beautiful forest and mountains of Saint-Fulgence and facing a small pond and river, you will enjoy a unique and enchanting stay. Its location is ideal to discover the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region: 15 minutes away is Monts-Valin National Park, one hour away from Whales circuits, 2 hours away from the Zoo. Ideal for snowmobiling and visiting family in Chicoutimi or around. Snowshoeing, alpine and trail skiing, trekking, biking, relaxing and cocooning!
Chalet Sainte-Marie is a 4 star stay and is open since October 2010. We are a member of the Corporation de l’Industrie Touristique du Québec (CITQ) and of the Association Touristique Régionale (ATR). We are awaiting CITQ rating.
A Wide Choice of Activities
There are activities in the region for everyone! Monts Valin National Park with its amazing and unique landscape, offers great outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing. Thirty-five minutes away is the Valinouët Ski Resort. Parc Jaseux is a must. They offer aerial rope activities which consist of 73 suspended bridges winding through a pine forest. Our inland sea, the Saguenay Fjord, will take you kayaking, sailing, and cruising to see the breathtaking scenery and the wildlife. Saint-Fulgence is part of Route du Fjord, Villages Fleurons du Québec and Village Relais. We are also a well-known destination for bird lovers, with over 250 species of birds listed annually. In winter, the region is renowned as a snowmobile paradise.
Chalet Sainte-Marie is unique. It is comfortable, and has been entirely renovated and newly furnished. Its lodging capacity is for eight persons. There a two official bedroomes, but the living room and one of the bedrooms can be separeated by a curtain to give privacy, so 4 bedrooms. 2 Queen size beds, 2 twin beds (2 more can be added) and one hide-a-bed (double size, confortable).
Heated floor, complete kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, oven and dishwasher. 2 complete bathrooms with a bath and a shower, washing machine and clothes dryer. Household cleaning products, hygenic paper, dishes, bath towels, sheets, pillows: everything is included. Bring your clothes and food. BBQ, wi-fi internet, satellite tv with lots of channels, no phone, fire wood for outside included.
